Just what are back links?

The GoogleBot, Google's search engine spider cannot read and understand what is on a Web page, so it has no way to know whether the page is any good or not. It sees back links to your site as a "vote" from other sites. If you have enough back links, Google thinks you deserve a better position and perhaps even a higher Page Rank.

Each one of the above listed activities takes knowledge, time and skill to excel at.
