Why SEO Isn’t Getting You The Results You Expect
This may anger and annoy many of you, but it is time to let truth reign and stop the fraud that is rampant in the SEO business.
Far too many small businesses know little to nothing about SEO, and seem to have no interest in learning. The result is that the SEO business is full of fraudulent providers that get no results for their customers, but it’s cheap.
The SEO fraudsters have been successful in getting prospects to believe an incredible fairy tale, and those that take this fairy tale to heart will never prosper with SEO. The fairy tale is:
A.) SEO gets you new customers. A complete lie. SEO is advertising, just like Google AdWords. It is designed to drive traffic to your Website. Your Website must engage with visitors and get them to take a Call To Action (phone call, email, fill out a form, etc.).
How many new customers does Google AdWords promise you? NONE. SEO is just like AdWords, except you are not paying per click.
B.) Placing just the right keywords in just the right place on your Web page will get you on page 1 of Google. Possibly the biggest lie of all. Google is a computer program that very likely analyzes hundreds, if not thousands, of things to decide where a given Web page ranks. To believe that simply stuffing keywords into a Web page will get page 1 rankings is ludicrous and absurd. Not only that, it doesn’t work.
C.) SEO takes 4 to 6 months to produce results. That just gives these people some income while you’re going nowhere. In reality, we get page 1 results in the Google organic search results in weeks, not months.
We are the ONLY “Pay Only For Results” SEO company, because we ALWAYS get our clients page 1 rankings in the Google organic search results
Many of you have tried SEO and discovered that getting on page 1 of Google doesn’t happen very often, even after months of trying, and any rankings achieved do not last long. Perhaps it’s time to understand how search engine ranking REALLY works and get rid of the myths preventing you from achieving your objective.
1.) Google ranking methods are are a tightly guarded secret.
Google is under constant attack from spammers that are trying to take it over and fill it with their junk. Nobody outside Google knows how Google decides to rank a Web page. NOBODY, including your SEO guru. What the SEO industry is doing is using a scientific wild guess to try to get keywords ranked on page 1 of Google.
What traditional SEO gurus do is to study dozens, if not hundreds of page 1 rankings for keywords and work backwards to identify common elements. By incorporating these common elements on YOUR Web pages, they hope to get page 1 rankings for you. However, Google is comprised of some of the smartest people on the planet and it has been estimated that there may be hundreds, if not thousands, of things Google looks at to determine rankings. So, simply placing the right keywords in the right places on your Website may do nothing at all.
2.) Your SEO guru does NOT have inside information.
Spammers can read too, so any information Google releases can certainly help your Website become more useful to your visitors, but they certainly will not be releasing the secret of how they rank Web pages.
3.) Google updates their ranking formula about 400 times per year.
This is why rankings come and go. If Google adds one more parameter to their ranking formula that you do not possess, your ranking may vanish. Your SEO guru must then go back through the analysis of current page 1 rankings for keywords and see what differences their are between your page and the current page 1 pages. Since Google updates can happen once or twice weekly, this is a formidable task to get page 1 rankings back that have disappeared.
4.) Back Links really DO matter.
Many SEO gurus will try to tell you that back links do not matter for search engine positioning. That is not at all true. Many of them will say that because they are unable to get you enough back links to influence page 1 positioning.
A back link is a link coming to your Web page from a distant Web page that you neither own nor control that is using your keyword. Google sees that as a “vote” for your Web page. Get enough votes and you climb to page 1 of Google.
However, Google being Google, there are two kinds of back links; low quality back links and high quality back links. A high quality back link has 1,000 times the power of a low quality back link. That means you’d need 1,000 low quality back links to equal just one high quality back link.
Google assigns a value called a Page Rank to every page. If your site is new, or you have recently added new pages, they will have a Page Rank of 0. Page Rank goes from 0 to 10. As Google gains experience with your page, the Page rank rises over time.
Low quality back links are from pages that have a Page Rank from 0 to 3. High quality back links are from pages that have a Page Rank from 4 to 10.
It is possible to buy back links, but that is foolish. Google looks at things with one question in mind, “Is this natural?”. If you had 10 back links yesterday and now have 1000 back links, does that look natural? No, it does not and Google will ignore ALL your back links. If you suddenly have nothing but high quality back links, does that look natural? Nope, and you’ll have 100% of your back links ignored.
We have absolute proof that back links matter. A lot.
We NEVER change ANYTHING on any customer Web page, or ask them to “optimize” their Web pages. Yet, we get MORE page 1 rankings FASTER than anyone else. 10, 30 or 50 keywords on page 1 of Google in days, rather than months. Look HERE for proof.
We are also immune to Google updates.
Remember those 400 major and minor Google updates that drop rankings off page 1 without warning? They have ZERO effect on us. Want proof of that too? Look HERE Look at the upload dates under the URL in the top THREE positions. Pay particular attention to the upload date on position #1, “Streamed live on Nov 9, 2015”. Google does 400+ major and minor updates per year. We just went through over 1000 updates, and we have not moved from the #1 position in over 2 years!
5.) You fail to realize what your Website is supposed to be doing
A very common, and very incorrect belief, is that SEO will get you new customers. Nothing could be further from the truth. SEO is advertising that creates awareness of your product/service and sends people to your Website. Your Website is responsible for engaging with visitors and getting them to take one of your Calls To Action (phone call, fill out a form, etc). Real SEO experts are not Web designers or copywriters. It’s hard enough to keep up with what it takes to get page 1 rankings.
If you really want to be successful marketing on the Internet, you need to make an effort to understand what it really takes or you will never succeed.
6.) You’re unwilling to pay what it is worth
Almost all of you, and I’m excluding the truly delusional do-it-yourselfers that have ZERO chance of getting anywhere, seem to think that SEO is only worth $200 to $500 per month. Strangely enough, there is an absolute army of people willing to do SEO for you for that price range. Unfortunately, a lot of them really do nothing but take your money and deliver no results. The really puzzling thing is how many small businesses pay $200 to $500 per month for 4 to 6 months, have nothing to show for it BUT sign up with another SEO guy and get fleeced again. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over while hoping for different results.
Fact: You can have GOOD or you can have CHEAP, but you will never have both.
Here’s a tip: make them prove they can get results BEFORE you pay them. Make them show you the ACTUAL Google results page, not an image of Google results that could be Photoshopped.
Here’s another tip: if you can’t afford to pay more than $500 monthly for SEO, stop doing SEO and save your money until you can afford a REAL SEO company that can produce results.
The worst possible profile that you can have as a small business hoping to use Google to drive prospects to your Website is to be misinformed and cheap. That sets you up as a total pigeon for the SEO businesses that will take your money and deliver nothing.
How about 10 keywords on page 1 of Google BEFORE you pay one cent?
We not only offer proof that we can do what we say we can do, but we do it BEFORE it costs you anything. It’s really very simple. If we don’t get you 10, 30 or 50 keywords on page 1 of the Google organic search results, don’t pay us.
We require a 6 -month or 1-year contract because we’re trying to protect ourselves from the misinformed small business that wants to quit after the first month because SEO didn’t get them new customers and their Website is completely non-functional.
So, if you’re ready to rule page 1 of Google in your market area and want to do it with ZERO risk, choose an SEO plan on the right.
